Fishing
World famous for the quality, size and variety of fish species on offer, East Arnhem Land waters are a bounty for keen anglers whether they are experienced or just a beginner trying their luck. Species frequenting the waters of the region include Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Red Emperor, Spanish Mackerel and for those keen on a bigger challenge, Blue Marlin and Sailfish.
There are various boat ramp facilities available for those with their own boats, or contact one of our friendly local charters to take you out for an experience of a lifetime! East Arnhem Land’s crystal-clear waters provide the perfect opportunity to get out on the water and explore the unspoiled reefs, estuaries and remote islands on offer.
NOTE: Access to some more-remote waters in East Arnhem Land will require a Fishing Permit from the Northern Land Council and you can find out more here.
